CEO of Isosec, Michael Latimer, shares highlights from 2019 and what the vision is for 2020 when it comes to all things NHS authentication and verification.

2019 reflection – a year of innovative solutions driven by NHS market needs

2019 has been another exciting year for Isosec and our amazing NHS customers. We’re constantly improving our solutions and this year has seen some fantastic new additions to our product offering.  Notably, new products this year have included our Single Sign On (SSO) and Password Reset solutions, purpose-built for the NHS and developed in partnership with our NHS customers, and now widely being used by Trusts. We have also seen more customers move to our Mobile Platform, where we are making a big difference for users being able to access systems like Servelec RiO on any device, anywhere.

Perhaps the real measure of our overall success this year is how mainstream our NHS Virtual Smartcard solution has become. Thinking back to when we launched this two years ago, with one early adopter customer, to where we are now with close to 30 NHS customers using Virtual Smartcards in the way we intended – we are incredibly proud to be delivering consumer grade technology straight into the hands of our NHS users. It’s exciting and we fully expect to at a minimum double the amount of NHS Trusts using it by the end of 2020. Amongst many others, we have welcomed Cambridge University Hospitals, Great Western Hospitals, Hertfordshire Community, University Hospitals of Derby & Burton, Royal Free and Worecstershire Health and Care to the ever growing Isosec customer family.

A look ahead – 2020 Vision

Innovation is business as usual at Isosec, and as ever we’ve got some exciting developments for 2020. In September 2019 we announced our Web Authentication Platform to the NHS, which our team has been working hard on these past few months. In 2020, we’ll be bringing our Web Authentication Platform to the forefront of the NHS market – all of our solutions available from one place, one platform – truly any device, any platform, anywhere – making sure that our NHS users can get fast and secure access wherever they are. How exciting is that.

Last but never least – thank you to our great NHS Customers

2019 is a year that we have retained strong relationships with our existing NHS customers, built on the reputation of our solutions, and added many new customers. What’s been the key to this is our close partnership working with our customers. The whole team at Isosec are passionate about our customers and everyday we are working to find out how we can improve our solutions and our service to the NHS.

Our customer retention rate is excellent and that speaks volumes for the loyalty that any software vendor dreams of – yes it’s about fantastic products and services but it’s much, much more than that. It’s about the trust that we equally place in each other to do the right thing, and ultimately it’s about the end user, the hard working NHS doctor, nurse, social worker or administrator who just wants an easier technology journey. If we make that easier, then we are all doing the right thing. All of us at Isosec want to thank our customers for their business but also want to welcome anyone who we may be able to work with in the near future.

From everyone at Isosec, I wish you and your families an enjoyable break over the festive period and we are looking forward to 2020 and working together for a better NHS.
