Sutton Council choose Isosec Virtual Smartcard for Google Chromebooks

By May 16, 2019Technology

Isosec are delighted to announce that Sutton Council will use Virtual Smartcards to enable the use of their EPR, Servelec’s RiO, on Google Chromebooks.

Michael Latimer, Isosec CEO, comments: ‘We already have a very strong customer base of Virtual Smartcard users and this latest customer acquisition demonstrates how we are enabling a multitude of use cases that embraces a full range of devices – from Windows (PCs/VDI) to Mobile (iOS and Android) and now we are pleased to enable secure authentication on Google Chromebooks.

We have worked very closely with Google to help make this happen and we were able to deliver a compelling proposition to Sutton Council. Isosec Virtual Smartcard (which uses the Isosec Identity Agent iO) is the only proven authentication solution that enables the use of Google Chromebooks to access NHS Spine based programs and applications.

This latest customer win shows the attractiveness of Isosec solutions for Local Authorities who are working in close partnership with the NHS. Isosec now has the only mobile authentication solution for Apple (iOs), Android and Chromebook and further extends our list of Servelec RiO users.’
