Isosec announces access to Summary Care Records from Android and iOS devices

By April 2, 2019Technology

Isosec are delighted to announce the availability and access to Summary Care Records (and Enhanced Summary Care Record) using the MIA Mobile Platform, working on all Android and iOS operating systems. Authentication to the NHS Spine is provided by using the Isosec Virtual Smartcard. The solution is now fully tested and being used live within the NHS already.

Michael Latimer, our CEO, adds: ‘This is the next exciting chapter to the innovation Isosec continue to deliver to the NHS. There is a significant user base in the NHS who need access to Summary Care Records – either out in the field, or for clinicians moving around within a fast paced hospital environment and wanting quick access to SCR on a tablet or mobile phone. We see many different applications for this. Additionally, our MIA Mobile Platform allows our NHS customers to seamlessly connect with other clinical systems whilst on the move, by using MIA and our Virtual Smartcard together, it’s a truly powerful combination that is making a positive difference in the daily lives of NHS clinicians.’

Isosec already serve more than 80 NHS Trust customers with more than 100,000 NHS staff using our software every day. Please get in touch with us for more information on any of our products and services.
